President’s Bio
Richard Ham is the president, owner and license holder for Richard Ham Construction, Inc. Richard moved to the area in 1974 to attend Eckerd College. While in college, to save living expenses, he decided to buy an old house in Gulfport, to live in and remodel. With floors that rolled like waves and a roof with so many holes the sky was clearly visible from within, the house was definitely in need of some TLC. Over the next five years Richard painstakingly remodeled, repaired and restored the house to it’s original condition. During that project he found that he had a talent and a love for the remodeling and construction trade. After working for other contractors for a number of years, Richard decided to start his own company and Richard Ham Construction was born. With over 30 years experience in the business and having done everything from swinging a hammer to pounding the keyboard, Richard is uniquely qualified to help bring your dreams to life.
